Le groupe dévoilera une nouvelle chanson inédite en collaboration avec Brian Eno pour attirer l’attention sur la crise climatique le Vendredi prochain, 22 Avril.

Dans le cadre de la Journée de la Terre, le musicien, producteur et militant anglais Brian Eno lancera de nouvelles musiques via le site web Bandcamp.com où une partie des recettes sera destinée à des causes caritatives liées à l'environnement.
Annoncée sur le site The Guardian, le groupe dévoilera vendredi prochain une nouvelle chanson produite par Eno parmi plus d'une centaine d'artistes qui vont également sortir de nouvelles chansons ce jour-là.
Dans la large liste des participants on compte une sélection d’artistes intergénérationnelle et éclectique : des alt-poppers Anna Calvi et The Weather Station à l'icône de la génération Z Declan McKenna au compositeur Murkage Dave, ou encore Michael Stipe.
Dans la même thématique, la tournée mondiale Music of the Spheres World Tour du groupe s'articule autour d'une série d'"initiatives de durabilité" complètes - des mesures telles qu'une piste de danse cinétique qui exploite l'énergie de la foule et une application fournissant des conseils de voyage aux spectateurs - qui visent à réduire les émissions de carbone de 50 % par rapport à leurs dernières tournées. Ils partageront leurs conclusions, créant ainsi un modèle plus durable pour les événements dans les stades.
Commentant le sujet Brian Eno déclare "Leur contribution est vraiment importante", "Ils ont pris la question très au sérieux et y ont consacré beaucoup de ressources. As part of Earth Day, British musician, producer and activist Brian Eno will release new music via Bandcamp.com with a percentage of proceeds going to environmental charities.
Announced on The Guardian website, the band will unveil a new song produced by Eno next Friday among more than a hundred artists who will also release new songs that day.
The wide list of participating artists includes an eclectic and intergenerational selection: from alt-poppers Anna Calvi and The Weather Station to Generation Z icon Declan McKenna and Murkage Dave, or Michael Stipe.
Similarly related, the band's Music of the Spheres World Tour is built around a series of comprehensive sustainability initiatives measures such as a crowdsourced kinetic dance floor and an app providing travel tips to concertgoers-which aim to reduce carbon emissions by 50 percent compared to their last tours. They will share their findings, creating a more sustainable model for stadium events.
Commenting on the topic Brian Eno says "Their contribution is really important", "They have taken the issue very seriously and put a lot of resources into it. They're at the forefront of saying, 'We still want to play in front of people, so what do we do?' Coldplay has been very conscientious and smart."
